Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amβ9:45 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dyre Fish Market at (718) 654-7050; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 1,114 reviews, which is a strong result for a seafood market in Bronx and suggests consistent service.
Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bronx follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The seafood here is incredible and fresh. I usually get a fish sandwich with wheat bread. They have flounder fillets red snapper and another fish I can't remember right now. The price is perfect also.

I wanted to get some fried shrimp and fish.... This location will try to force you to buy bag shrimp or the breaded shrimp... I wanted the fresh shrimp with the shell, but I ask them to clean the shrimp for me... they insisted the clean shrimp are the same.... I saw them putting the cleaned shrimp on the table from frozen bag.... I do not want those shrimp, I wanted shell on but the worker was too lazy and say they cant clean the shrimp for me. Will not be returning... very upsetting you cant even pay people to do their job nowadays.

This is a grab and go spot, not a sit down and eat. The raw meat and veggies are laid out buffet style. You pick and choose your meats, and veggies and put them in a basket. You hand the basket to the workers. They will season the food to your liking and then will throw it in a steamer. They give you a ticket then will call your ticket when your foods done. They will then ask you a few more questions about how you like your food prepared then will put it all in containers and then you're on your way. The food is amazing and always freshly steamed. I highly recommend them.

What a find ! Excellent steamed fish. Choice of seasonings and veggies. You can order ahead and pickup also. Great prices. Good parking if youβre lucky. Friendly employees. Two thumbs up.

The steam food here is absolutely delicious. I would not recommend the fried food as they seem to cook everything in the same oil. If you have a shellfish allergy, you will definitely get sick with the fried food. Something that seems odd is you are charged an addition if you use credit card.
